Biography
Originally from Strasbourg, Salomé Haller received complete musical training at the CNSM in Paris, finishing with top honours in 2000.
She quickly made a name for herself on the baroque scene, under directors such as Martin Gester, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Christophe Rousset and René Jacobs. At the same time, she was appearing on operatic stages, and in only fifteen years she had already sung at the Berlin Staatsoper, La Monnaie in Brussels, the Opéra du Rhin, the Liceu in Barcelona and the Amsterdam Opera, among others.
Constantly seeking out new connections and musical discoveries, she has explored a vast concert repertoire; she has sung Haydn, Messiaen, Amy and Berlioz under the batons of Armin Jordan, Pierre Boulez, Péter Eötvös and Marc Minkowski. Chamber music has taken on a special role in her career. She has given many recitals with her partner, the pianist Nicolas Krüger, both in France and abroad. Their album of French melodies and Lieder, Das Irdische Leben, has been awarded a "Diapason Découverte".
She recently sang Pierrot Lunaire with the Ensemble Intercontemporain at the Auditorium of Lyon, the Amphithéâtre Bastille and at the Essen Philharmonie, the part of Marcellina (Nozze di Figaro), under René Jacobs's baton in Seoul, Shanghai, Eisenstadt, Beaune and Grenada.
