Biography
After completing a Master’s degree in Cultural Mediation at the Sorbonne, and having begun studying the piano at an early age, Cyrielle Ndjiki studied voice with Claudine Le Coz before entering the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), where she studied in the class of Chantal Mathias and graduated with a Master’s degree with highest honours and the unanimous distinction of the jury.
Alongside her studies, she has received guidance in masterclasses from such distinguished artists as Barbara Bonney, Felicity Palmer and Karine Deshayes.
A laureate of the Fondation Tarrapi, the Fondation de France Dauphin de Verna, the Fondation Meyer and the Fonds Kriegelstein, she won both the Grand Prix and the Audience Prize at the Marmande International Singing Competition in August 2020.
On stage, her roles include the Fourth Maid (Elektra) and Ortlinde (Die Walküre) under the baton of Paul Daniel at the Opéra National de Bordeaux; Elettra (Idomeneo) and the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro) with Opera Fuoco under the direction of David Stern; the High Priestess (Aida) and the Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte) at the Opéra National de Montpellier; and Bess (Porgy and Bess) at the Opéra National de Bordeaux.
She joined the Beethoven class of the Académie Jaroussky and recorded her first album, Muses éternelles, at the CNSMDP in September 2020, with the support of Patrick Petit.
Her forthcoming engagements include Lady Macbeth’s Attendant (Macbeth) at the Opéra National de Bordeaux, as well as numerous concert appearances.
