Biography

 

After studying at the CNR in Metz with Juan-Carlos Moralès Régis Mengus debuted at the Metz Opera

He has since sung on many French stages when he performed as Danilo (Die Lustige Witwe) at the Nice, Reims and Lausanne Opera Houses, Marcello (La Bohème)  in Reims and in Metz, Sharpless (Madama Butterfly) in Reims, the Husband (Les Mamelles de Tirésias) and the title-role of Hamlet at the Lausanne Opera, Karnac (Le Roi d’Ys) at the Saint-Étienne Opera, Valentin (Faust) in Massy, Saint-Etienne, Metz and Lausanne, Escamillo (Carmen) in Rennes, Albert (Werther) at the Opera du Rhin, Papageno (Die Zauberflöte) at the Opera de Tours, Escamillo (Carmen) at the Opera de Metz, Phanor (Gounod’s La Reine de Saba) and the title-role of Eugen Onegin at the Opera de Marseille.

More recently, he played Hoël (Dinorah ou le Pardon de Ploermel) at the Berlin Deutsche Oper, The Husband (Les Mamelles de Tirésias) and Ramiro (l'Heure Espagnole) in Oviedo, and Schaunard (La Bohème) in Marseille,L'Horloge & le Chat (L'Enfant et les Sortilèges) at the Paris  Philharmonie, Escamillo (Carmen) at the Opera du Rhin, Bill (Quiet Place) at the Paris National Opera, Ourias (Mireille) in Metz, The Husband (Les Mamelles de Tirésias) at the Glyndebourne Festival, the title role of Werther at the Grand Théâtre de Tours,Christian Favre's Davel in Lausanne, Papageno (Die Zauberflöe) in Reims, Danilo (Lustige Witwe) in Marseille, Padre Sanson (Thomas Ades' The Exterminating Angel ) at the Paris National Opera.
