Biography

Born in 2002, Pierre Gennaï began his musical studies very early with the double-bass,  the piano, the organ, composition, orchestration, conducting...  He began his vocal studies in 2020 with   Laurène Huet in Nîmes before the Lyon CSNMD with Mireille Delunsch. During the season 2024-25 he is the member the Opera national du Rhin  Opera Studio.

He made his stage debut in 2023 in the the title role of  Don Giovanni Lyrique de Samoens.

In concert he sang the bass solos of the Mozart's  Requiem under Bernard Tétu's baton, the Haydn's Missa in tempore belli under Stéphanie-Marie Degand's baton, the Dvořák's  Mass in D Major,  Fauré's Requiem with Strasbourg Philarmonic Orchestra, Stravinsky's  Noces at the 'Opéra National du Rhin.

More recently, he has sang Comte Almaviva (Nozze di Figaro) at teh CNSMDL , Bartolo (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) at the  d’Oppède Lyrical festival under   Cyril Diederich's baton, Hermann and   Schlemil (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Peer Gynt and  the Baron Douphol (La Traviata) at the Opéra National du Rhin, the Coryphée (Cherubini's Médée) at the  théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Mercurio (Haendel's Atalanta) at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music.

Amoung his future projects, he will sing  Orfeo (Monteverdi) at the Montpellier National Opera, Mercutio (Romeo et Juliette) in Tours, Guglielmo (Cosi fan Tutte) the Paris Athénée Theater…
