Born in Albania, Belerta Zhegu begins her vocal studies in Tirana with Nina Mula before to study at the Bolzano Claudio Monterverdi music school Nathaniel Brodsky. Résident of the CNIPAL in Marseille, and of the French Music International Academy of Michel Plasson, she has taken masterclasses with Leo Nucci, Renato Bruson, Bruna Baglioni, Luciana Serra, Sophie Koch, Didier Laclau Barrère, José Van Dam, Yvonne Minton…
She was awarded first prize at the ArsKosova vocal Competition in Kosovo
She has begun on stage in the part of Lucy (The Telephone) at the Bolzano Theater, before to sing Lucy (L'Opéra de quat ‘sous) in Livorno, Pisa and Lucca, Valeria (Il Canto dell’Amore Trionfante de Paolo Coletta) at the Novara Coccia Theater, Adina (Elisir d'Amore) in Tirana. She has sung under the baton of Michel Plasson, Vittorio Parisi, Eddie de Nadai, Roni Porat, Oleg Arapi, Samuel Jean, Valerio Galli Gianna Fratta, Alvise Casellati.
In Concert, sha has sung Carmina Burana and Midsummer Night’s dream at the National opera House of Tirana, Mahler’s Fourth Symphony in Quito (Ecuador).
More recently, she has sung Si (Mascagni) and Musetta (La Bohème) in Livorno, Norina (Don Pasquale) Verona Philharmonic Theater, Musetta (La Bohème) in Lucca, Carmina Burana at the Chieti Festival.
