Biographie

After studying the violin and obtaining his Diplôme d’Études Musicales, Aurélien Gasse went on to study voice at the CRR de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés with Yves Sotin, before entering the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), where he studied with Glenn Chambers. He has also furthered his training with Magreet Honig, Malcolm Walker, Capucine Chiaudani and Giovanni Ribichesu.

He has performed under the baton of Marco Guidarini, Tito Ceccherini and Alain Altinoglu, and his operatic roles include Don Alvaro (Il viaggio a Reims), Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) and Der Gatte (Reigen). He has appeared at the Salle Gaveau in a concert devoted to the works of Tchaikovsky conducted by Lionel Stoléru, and at the Théâtre du Châtelet in a tribute to Stephen Sondheim. He has also sung Colas (Bastien und Bastienne) at the Opéra de Massy and Papageno (Die Zauberflöte) at the Festival de Lavaur.

More recently, he has appeared in Offenbach’s Monsieur Choufleuri at the Opéra de Reims, as Escamillo (Carmen) and Valentin (Faust) with Lab’Opéra 92, and as Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia) with Ensemble Dénote. He also performed the role of André in Maurice Yvain’s Gosse de riche at the Théâtre de l’Athénée, the Opéra de Reims and the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne with Les Frivolités Parisiennes.
